Guth Gafa and Story Matters Impact Distribution Lab for Irish documentary filmmakers will guide filmmakers in creating impact distribution plans for their film and ensure their work reaches the widest possible audience.
The programme is led by David Rane from Guth Gafa Teoranta and Patricia Finneran from Story Matters Media, and coordinated by Anouk Schober.
Expert Presenters include: Ana Castañosa, FIFDH Impact Days; Kristin Feeley, Sundance Documentary; Stefania Gualberti, Thinking Changes; Eliza Licht, Red Owl Partners; Ben Kempas, Film & Campaign; and Neasa Ní Chianáin, Soilsiu Films.
The selected filmmaking teams will take part in a three-month hybrid format programme focusing on learning innovative approaches to maximise distribution and create an actionable social impact strategy. The Lab features an in-person residency workshop in Donegal, five online sessions, and culminates in a final workshop and project presentations at Docs Ireland, Belfast. The programme is supported by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland through the Screen Stakeholders Funding Scheme and presented in partnership with Docs Ireland.
